Last week my brother brought me a “This too, will pass” bracelet. It was sent to him by a friend who knew I was saddened by the potential of loosing custody of my small children as the result of a custody battle.
My heart has been so heavy with concern for my children and myself and I have had little relief from the sadness.
Last night I sat quietly watching my children sleep and felt the weight of my new bracelet on my wrist. As I touched the words inscribed in the bracelet I was reminded of the story about the unhappy king and was reminded of the message of the wise man. I took a deep breath and thought about how perfect the moment was (as I watched my sleeping children) and really understood the importance of not letting anything get in the way of the precious moments I have in my life.
Thank you for the gift
